PRIVATE PIANO LESSONS
Classical Piano Lessons
​ Beginning Jazz Piano Lessons
  • ​​​Each private lesson is arranged based on students' goals and technical level. ​
  • The curriculum is designed to develop musical artistry and expression in order to raise their motivation towards their goals.
  • ​​Classical Piano Lessons are offered for students aged six to adult.
  • Jazz Piano Lessons are offered ​for students who have a foundation in classical piano. 
  • ​Please contact Etsuko for the current lesson rate.

STUDIO POLICY
LESSONS
  • Weekly (30, 45, 60 min.) and bi-weekly (60 min.)
  • Beginner (30-45 min.) / intermediate (45 min.) / advanced (45-60 min.)
  • Offered throughout a year
​TUITION
  • Monthly installment is due on the first lesson of each month appointment. 
  • Tuition is not refundable.
  • Contact Etsuko for current tuition rate. ​
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING (MAKE-UPS)
  • Due to students' emergency, illness, ​and other school activity, the lesson may be reschedule. 
  • 24 hours notice is required to reschedule (in person/virtual lesson). 
  • If the student is out of town for more than a week, please notify before the next payment due. 
  • Students' absence without 24 hours notice or due to insufficient practice will not be rescheduled.    Tuition will not credited except teacher's absence or the student's extended illness.
DISCONTINUATION
  • Please give 2-week notice to discontinue lessons. Students are responsible for paying for last two lessons during these 2 weeks.
  • Lessons will be discontinued for missing 2 lessons in a row without notification, and the lesson time will be open for other student.
  • Lessons will be discontinued for excessive tardiness.​
​​OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER
  • Guardians are required to be present during lessons for young children and support their daily routine. 
  • The cost of method books and supplemental materials is not included in tuition. 
  • Avoid bringing food, drink and gum into the studio.
  • Keep your piano well-tuned and good condition and have it in a quiet environment.
  • Set up the same practice time of the day. It help you stick with the routine and feel of making steady progress.
  • Attending live performances and participating in student recitals are highly recommended.​

AT A LESSON
Students are asked to demonstrate the result from their work based on their assignment.
They may ask questions and address the issues.
They receive tips to solve specific issues and coaching.
They also observe Etsuko's demonstration during the lesson.
​

Minimum Practice Time per Day Recommended:  
Beginner level: 15 - 30 min.
Intermediate level: 30 - 45 min.
Advanced level: 45 - 90 min.
